The ball is shown as a set of concentric spherical shells; more shells gives a finer 3D mesh. The "types of tetrahedra" slider refer to the general orientation of the tetrahedra that fill the shells, or whether they are in the interior or on the surface of the sphere. Vary the opacity to look inside the sphere.
