Bead on a Rotating Hoop

This Demonstration uses Lagrangian mechanics to simulate a system in which a bead is free to slide along a frictionless hoop. The plane of the hoop is horizontal, and its center travels on a horizontal circle about a given point with constant angular velocity.

and are the initial angle and initial angular velocity of the bead on the hoop, respectively.
