Designs for Ribbons and Friezes Based on Trigonometric Functions

By using parametric equations that heavily involve trigonometric functions, it is possible to produce a large variety of different patterns with repeating ornamental configurations that can be used for tapes and friezes. The inherent symmetries of such designs can produce a pleasing aesthetic appeal.
