This Demonstration shows a dissection reflecting the formula . This is done by dissecting a cube with side length into cubes with side lengths and and three congruent rectangular solids of dimensions , and , which are rearranged to form an H-shaped solid.

Details

Forming the H shape from three rectangular solids was a reason for naming a special cube divided into 11 pieces the H-cube ("Kocka H") in [1, pp. 36–41].
