Eight icosahedra are attached face-to-face along the edges of a rhombus, with its diagonals in the ratio . The faces remain connected under truncation, so the truncated icosahedron (buckyball) and the icosidodecahedron are also face-to-face. Notice that the members of the assembly have three different orientations.
