An issue in analyzing numeric data is how to group or "clump" data elements. This Demonstration permits you to examine the effect of various clumping schemes on four different sets of country data derived from the CountyData integrated datasets. You can adjust the number of bins and the scaling of bin sizes. Scaling of bin widths is adjusted by changing the "clumping exponent." Alternatively, you can ask the computer to find and display "natural" clusters.
