The crossword puzzle was invented by the journalist Arthur Wynne, whose first puzzle (called a “word-cross”) appeared in a Sunday newspaper, the New York World, on December 21, 1913. Now it's your turn to enjoy one! Click a green square to see the clue and then click one of the commands at the top to fill in the word. Test your knowledge of the Mathematica system!
