The planar density of atoms in a crystallographic structure can impact the mechanical properties of the material. This Demonstration shows crystallographic planes in a unit cell, with the origin indicated by the green point and the atom locations by the red points. You can choose the lattice type and the

indices to determine the plane. The planar density is shown in the upper right.
