Power Hacksaw Linkage

This Demonstration shows the interrelationships between the various linkage components of a power hacksaw and their effects on its operation. It is critical to determine the correct value for the drive linkage as the main drive changes. To illustrate this, unhook the rear linkage, show the locus, and manually adjust the drive linkage to the correct position. This is where the point at the rear of the hacksaw frame touches the orange point at the intersection of the locus and the dashed circle.
