The ends of a bar are connected to two circles. The circles then rotate counterclockwise at independent speeds. This Demonstration shows the path traversed by a fixed point on the bar. Besides the two speeds, you can also vary the point on the bar and the radius of one of the circles by dragging the locator on its circumference.
