As with stellations of polygons in the plane, stellations of polyhedra can be accomplished by connecting the vertices with Euclidean separation equal to a parameterized constant. The stellations are not always well-defined in three-dimensional space. When projected onto a plane, the shape stellations create patterns that might otherwise be constructed with a straight edge and a compass. These graphs even include , , a kite, and a dart.
