Pythagorean Means
The Pythagorean means of and are the arithmetic mean , the geometric mean , and the harmonic mean . Lines corresponding to , , and can be constructed by ruler and compass. In the construction, the yellow segments are perpendicular. Change the lengths of the given lines to see how the Pythagorean means compare with each other.
