This Demonstration shows how various characteristics of a unity-gain low-pass Sallen–Key filter depends on its damping factor . The characteristics considered are: transfer function poles, frequency response, and unit step response. The filter's frequency response was scaled (normalized) to have . Frequency and magnitude denormalization are necessary in order to obtain practical values of circuit components.
