This generalized version of the Smith chart can be an important resource for teachers and students, since it can be applied to a variety of different parameters. This provides a unified approach to the properties of the impedance/admittance function of a transmission line in the complex gamma plane. The chart has sliders for normalized resistance/conductance and reactance/susceptance, magnitude and phase of the reflection coefficient, and relative phase from the load. This enables several operations including single- and double-stub matching. Double-stub matching can be achieved by moving the slider that controls the shifted unit conductance circle.
