The Wolfram 2,3 Turing Machine Left-Compressed Evolution

A left-compressed display of a Turing machine shows only the steps where the head has moved farther to the left than all previous steps. Shown here is the right-hand side of the left-compressed Wolfram 2,3 Turing machine, which exhibits complex behavior.
The rows of the compressed evolution increase on the right by either one or three cells. The plot on the bottom shows the number of lengths of runs of rows that increase by one cell.
