Thrust Reverser

This Demonstration illustrates one of the many methods of thrust reversal used to brake jet aircraft right after touchdown. The back part of the engine cover is divided into two parts that can be rotated to block the gas stream expelled by the engine. This causes the gas stream and the thrust to be partly reversed.
