This Demonstration displays the trace curves of the crank-slider mechanism. The trace points are defined on the connecting rod. As the crank link rotates, the trace points draw a series of nice closed curves.
The crank-slider mechanism was defined with the LinkageDesigner add-on package. The transformation matrices and the values of the joint variables were extracted from the LinkageData of the mechanism. For more information, see www.linkagedesigner.com.
