During the preparation of a nanoelectrode, the insulation surrounding the nanoelectrode is often damaged. This Demonstration shows how to verify the insulating state of a nanoelectrode. By approaching the nanoelectrode from the air/solution interface, the condition of the insulation of the nanoelectrode can be checked.
