This Demonstration shows an approximate construction of a rhombic icosahedron. You can vary three parameters of a polyhedron with 40 triangular faces. A special case is obtained when the triangles are equilateral. Considering two adjacent triangles as a kind of skeletal rhombus, you get an approximation of a rhombic icosahedron.
