This Demonstration considers the present level of carbon emissions () for a city of selected population and the possible reduction of emissions up to the year 2050. Various strategies for effectively reducing emissions include carbon compensation and carbon capture. This Demonstration might help decision makers to put emissions into perspective for maintaining the carbon budget to keep global warming below +1.5 °C until 2050. You can vary many parameters, with the expected results for carbon emissions shown in the two graphs.
