This Demonstration shows an ear decomposition of the Petersen graph.

In graph theory, an ear is a path or cycle without repeated vertices. An ear decomposition starts with a cycle and then takes paths with the endpoints on earlier ears, but no internal points from earlier ears. With "show ear form", the ears have been drawn to be more obvious.
