How to cut an equilateral triangle so that the pieces can be reassembled to form a square is the most famous of the geometrical discoveries made by Henry Dudeney, England's greatest inventor of puzzles, who lived in the 1900s. This Demonstration shows that the four pieces can be linked with hinges and closed back and forth to pass from triangle to square and vice versa.
