Flash Vaporization of a Heptane-Octane Mixture

Consider an ideal binary mixture composed of -heptane and
-octane. The feed to a flash drum is composed of 50% mole of
-heptane at a temperature equal to 303 K. This feed is flash vaporized at
. When you set the desired vapor fraction, the Demonstration computes the vapor and liquid compositions as well as the temperature in the separator. The heat added is also calculated.
