Growth of a Rhombic Dodecahedron

Cuboids with decreasing size are stacked on each face of a cube. In this way, the shape of the rhombic dodecahedron is filled. This Demonstration could be used to illustrate the growth of some crystals, such as garnet. The controls manipulate the layers of cuboids.
