Hinged Dissection of a Generalized Greek Cross to a Square

To get a generalized Greek cross, take a square and cut off four small squares from the corners. This Demonstration shows a hinged dissection of a square to a generalized Greek cross , where
is the ratio of the length of the side of the cross to the side of the resulting square.
