Use points in 2D or 3D to represent the factors of a positive integer. Join two points by an edge if one factor divides the other with no other factor in between. The 2D graph arranges the points in levels, while the 3D graph spreads out the points as if they were repelling charged particles. Therefore the two types of graph look different in some cases, but the connectivity is the same.
