This Demonstration displays the liquid-liquid equilibrium diagram for a chloroform-water-acetic-acid mixture at 25°C and 1 atm. The composition of the heavy and light phases are shown in blue and red, respectively. Click one of the two curves to place the locator. Then the corresponding green tie line is drawn.
