Motion on a Surface

This Demonstration shows the motion of a point particle confined to a surface and influenced by gravity and friction within the framework of classical mechanics. You can choose from three particular surfaces (landscapes) and define the initial position and velocity. It is also possible to experiment with various settings of gravity and friction.
