This Demonstration shows one orbit of the 2D coupled logistic map for 20000 points. You can vary the initial conditions of the orbit and the values of the two parameters of the system. Click the diagram to select an area of the orbit to magnify in the small window at the top left. You can also vary the degree of magnification in the small window and the precision used in the calculations.

The 2D coupled logistic map with delay is given by the equations:
This system presents chaotic behavior when and
both lie in the neighborhood of the interval
. For certain ranges of the values of the parameters and the initial conditions the dynamics can also settle down in periodic orbits.
