The shapes are drawn by periodic variations of the ratio between angle and distance. Start by observing one initial arc which is drawn as a disk if the frequency effect is 0. You can modify the frequency of the angular modulation to swirl the arc. Swirling of two or more initial shapes starts from predistorted arcs arranged in circular sectors.
