This simple ticker tape Demonstration illustrates constant velocity motion in a straight line. For accelerated motion, the velocity of the object increases 1 per second, so the acceleration is 1 . This Demonstration would be useful for discussing introductory ideas of position, velocity, acceleration, slope, and so on in a calculus or physics class.
