Truncated Octahedra Outer Totalistic Cellular Automaton

This Demonstration shows a three-dimensional, 9-neighbor, two-color, outer totalistic cellular automaton run on space-filling truncated octahedra. The initial condition is a single black cell. "Hextouch" and "squaretouch" are initial conditions with two filled cells each, touching in two different ways (one along a hexagonal face, the other along a square face).
