Select amplitude and frequency functions and press the Play button to play the sound with that amplitude and frequency. The blue and gray curves indicate the amplitude of the sound; the purple curve is the function being played. The slider labeled length controls the duration of the sound and the speed at which amplitude and frequency change.

The actual function being played is the composition of with an antiderivative of the frequency function, multiplied by the amplitude.
