Find and colorize segmented components based on their area in elementary cellular automaton (ECA) spacetime diagrams. Using the controls, the time arrow goes down in steps. Observe how components maintain the same color at different steps. In most cases you can significantly increase the total number of components by unchecking "corner neighbors."
