Orbits around Schwarzschild Black Holes

The gravitational pull of a black hole is so strong that it will warp a two-body orbit away from anything elliptical. In this Demonstration, modifying the angular momentum, initial radius, time, or view shows the effects of extreme gravitation.

Thanks to Professor Harold Zapolsky of Rutgers University at whose office blackboard I first sketched black hole orbits.
