If you tell someone you live in New York City, they know where you live. But if you live in Amherst, Concord, Paris, Salem, or any number of other cities and towns, you often need to clarify by providing your state. To find out how many cities and towns have the same name as your hometown, select your state and then town. You'll get a list of all towns with the same name, both in the U.S. and internationally, along with their populations.
