Find interesting visualizations of a cellular automaton (CA) rule and colorize segmented components based on their area at different steps by adjusting the controls. Uncheck "corner neighbors" to increase the total number of components. Try out different initial conditions for the variation of patterns.

In this Demonstration, coloration is due to morphologically connected components rather than the states of the CA.
