This Demonstration shows three sets of interlocking rings. If any one set is deleted, the remaining two sets are not interlocked; this is the Borromean property.

You can set the number of rows and columns of rings with the first two controls. The "outside diameter" slider adjusts the width of the rings. The "amplitude" slider controls the color intensity of the rings. Deselecting the initial "yellow ring" shows the Borromean property.
