Pantograph Linkage

This linkage was invented by Christoph Scheiner in 1630. It makes a scaled copy of a given figure. The proportions of the outer and inner segments modify the size and shape of the copy. Drag the locator around the orange figure to make the red dot trace out the pink copy.
