Largest Square inside a Triangle

You might like to have fun finding out (though not by using this Demonstration directly) the exact value of the side of the largest square inside: (1) an equilateral triangle with side length one; and (2) an isosceles right triangle with the equal legs of length one. (Hint: the latter is easier than the former.)
