The harmonic oscillator is the most important quantum mechanical model. A few variants of the harmonic oscillator are solvable in closed form: besides the case of a timeâÂÂdependent oscillator potential, there is also the oscillator in a half-space with a harmonically moving boundary (at which we assume homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions).
