Eigenfunctions of the Helmholtz Equation in a Right Triangle
In 1D many eigenvalue problems of the Schrödinger equation are exactly solvable. In 2D far fewer are exactly solvable, the simplest being a rectangle with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Exact solutions are also available for right triangles.
