Type II Ternary Liquid-Liquid Equilibrium Diagrams

Consider a ternary mixture of hexane, heptane, and methanol. This Demonstration displays the liquid-liquid equilibrium diagram, which is classified as type II since no plait point appears, for user-set values of the temperature. Some green tie lines are shown, and some representative data is given when you select the "table" tab. All calculations are based on the NRTL model and use the arc-length continuation technique. Parameters for the NRTL model were obtained from HYSYS.
