This Demonstration plots objects reminiscent of parts made by extrusion-molding or injection-molding of plastic materials. The cross sections of the objects are polar plots of well-known functions (circle, lemniscate, limaçon of Pascal, and cardioid). Their thickness profile is the interpolation curve defined by the locators in the bottom graph. Choose cross section, length profile, wall colors, and thickness to design your own injection-molded part!
