Ferrers Diagrams

A partition of a whole number is a set of whole numbers that add up to . Typically the numbers are written as a sum of numbers in descending order. The Ferrers diagram of a partition of shows dots in all, with dots in the first row, dots in the second row, and so on. This Demonstration shows the Ferrers diagrams of all the partitions for the numbers from 1 to 30.
